Caregiver Respite Grant Program: Terms Of Use

  3. RCAW is responsible for ensuring funds are used for their intended purpose and in a way that meets the grant’s goals and objectives. RCAW reserves the right to deny a grant application if it suspects or detects fraudulent information.
  4. RCAW also reserves the right to report suspected or detected fraud to the appropriate officials, and applicants will be banned from applying for grants in the future.
  5. Those involved in fraudulent activities may be required to repay the grant funds to RCAW.
  6. All parties involved in grant fraud can potentially be charged with government grant fraud. Using state and federal grant dollars for unjust enrichment, personal gain, or for any purpose other than their intended use is a form of theft and is subject to criminal prosecution.
  7. I have read and understand the Ineligibility from RCAW Grant Programs Policy and Procedure.
  8. RCAW reserves the right to deny grant requests at any step of the process at our discretion, with or without cause.
  9. RCAW reserves the right to deny CRGP applications, and applicants can appeal using the Grant Denial Appeal. If the RCAW Executive Committee denies an applicant’s appeal, the applicant must wait 90 days before reapplying for the CRGP.
  10. Respite Care Association of Wisconsin is not the employer of the respite provider.
  11. You may be eligible to reapply. Funding requests will be subject to the availability of funds. Please review the webpage for the most current information.
  12. Applications are on a first-come, first-served basis. However, we reserve the right to refuse an application or award a grant of a lesser amount than requested. We have an appeal process handled by our Board of Directors.
  13. There is no minimum or maximum award. Each respite grant request is processed on a first-come, first-served basis, contingent upon the availability of funds. RCAW will consider local market rates for respite care, overnight rates, the acuity of the care recipient, and the provider’s experience, and is based on the actual hours requested.
  14. There is no age requirement for the care. This program is available across the lifespan.
  15. No funding request will be approved to pay for respite incurred before the award notification/retroactive
  16. Primary caregivers or care recipients are responsible for selecting, scheduling, supervising, and reviewing the credentials, background checks, and training of the respite care worker or provider agency
