An accountant with a social conscience, Lisa Schneider is a results-oriented leader with an innovative spirit. She is an accomplished executive with a demonstrated ability to deliver mission-critical results. Skilled at creating strategic alliances with organizations and community leaders to effectively align with and support key community and organizational needs and initiatives.
Lisa Schneider has been serving as Executive Director of the Respite Care Association of Wisconsin (RCAW) since February 2017, bringing substantial leadership in strategic planning, program development, regulatory compliance, fiscal oversight, and organizational governance.
Under her guidance, RCAW has transformed into a more robust, data-informed organization with enhanced statewide reach. Through expanded funding, partnerships, training, and systems-based innovation, RCAW now offers stronger support to both caregivers and providers while promoting a more sustainable and coordinated respite ecosystem across Wisconsin.
As a recognized advocate for family caregivers, and a family caregiver herself to both her mom and daughter, Schneider played a central role in securing a significant budget increase for respite services.
RCAW is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1987 and appointed in 1999 to administer Wisconsin’s Lifespan Respite Care legislation—work that Schneider continues to oversee, including administering federal and state grant programs to bolster access and quality of respite services across the lifespan.
